"I brought my good ol' reliable 13 yr old Explorer in to Autotech to be checked out because I wanted to make sure it was safe to drive, since I had been hearing some strange sounds. I mentioned I plan on trading it in around the end of summer, but whatever I needed to do to keep it safe, I would do. After a thorough check, and even Greg picking me up and driving around with me to make sure he was hearing what I was, the diagnosis was yes, it needs shocks and a few other things but not necessary to do if I am trading it in in a few months. I was assured the car was safe, but bring it in if I notice anything and they will keep checking it. That has never happened to me before. My past experience with auto repair shops over 40 years, is I have never walked away without being charged for something.
